肯尼斯·莱顿的《帕蒂塔》以深情抒情的《悲歌》开篇，可见沃恩·威廉斯等英国作曲家的影响。第二乐章谐谑曲充满沃尔顿式的切分节奏与活力，作品以钟鸣般的主题结束，随后展开自由变奏。
理查德·罗德尼·贝内特的奏鸣曲同样以一条起伏婉转的主题与一连串变奏收尾，其中一段为钢琴独奏。
阿伦·霍迪诺特的奏鸣曲以清晰通透的织体见长，常使用二声部对位。
伊丽莎白·勒琴斯基本为自学成才，采用独特的节奏记谱体系：自由节拍、无小节线，使用三种符号标记不同时值音符。标题《恒量》（Constants），指全曲仅使用四个核心旋律与和声音程。
