This recording features some of the most notable works in the repertoire for bassoon and piano,
here played by Per Hannisdal (Principal Bassoon, Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra) and pianist Vebjørn
Anvik (Grieg Trio), two of Norway's finest musicians. Most of the pieces were composed in the first
half of the 20th century, which was a fruitful time for music for wind instruments, especially in
France where the Paris Conservatoire commissioned works (pièces de concours) to be used in
examinations. These were often works of high quality and they constitute a significant addition
to the repertoire. Two of them, Dutilleux's Sarabande et Cortège and Tansman's Sonatine, are
represented in this album, which also features music composed by Hindemith, Saint-Saëns, Elgar,
Koechlin and Kvandal.

这张专辑收录了众多著名的巴松和钢琴作品，由挪威奥斯陆爱乐乐团的首席巴松管演奏家Per Hannisdal与格里格三重奏组（Grieg Trio）中的钢琴手这二位挪威国宝级音乐奖倾情演奏。大部分作品创作于20世纪上半叶，其时恰好是管乐器的“黄金时期”（尤其在法国），留下大量优秀作品。其中法国作曲家亨利.杜蒂耶的《Sarabande et Cortège》，法籍波兰作曲家亚历山大•汤斯曼的《Sonatine》都是那个时期的优秀产物，这张专辑中也有幸收录二曲。除此之外，还有德国作曲家保罗•亨德密特、法国作曲家夏尔•卡米尔•圣-桑、英国作曲家爱德华•埃尔加、法国作曲家凯什兰等等。
