For the fourth Subscription Concert of their 2019-20 Season – available for audio streaming as part of an exclusive partnership with IDAGIO – the Vienna Philharmonic are joined by pianist Denis Matsuev and conductor Jakub Hrůša for a programme of Tchaikovsky and Bartók. The concert was originally to be conducted by Mariss Jansons and was recorded after news of the Latvian conductor's death. It features a spoken tribute by Daniel Froschauer, Chairman of the Vienna Philharmonic, followed by a solo tribute at the piano from Matsuev.
